If you have any reservations when you hear the phrase “married couple” in reference to a band, you can park them. Joseph and Jenny Andreotti have been making music together under a variety of names since the turn of the century—Funeral Club, Peppermint Kisses—but Fawns of Love, their latest project, is no saccharine vanity project. The Bakersfield, CA, duo draw heavily on their love of Kate Bush (their name being a Hounds of Love reference), but they filter her through the soft gauze of Cocteau Twins and Slowdive.

Today, we’re premiering “That’s What We Do,” the lead single from their debut album Who Cares About Tomorrow, which drops March 3. The track is driven by a nauseating vacuum of guitar and a buried click-clack of percussion—a perfectly woozy accompaniment to Jenny’s singing about the joys of connecting with good friends over long nights. You can give it a listen below, and if you happen to live in Los Angeles, you can catch them at the Echo Park Film Center tomorrow night.

Who Cares About Tomorrow is out March 3.
