DTS Space x Dine In Sound
Animal Restaurant
February 21
Los Angeles, CA

A full house of guests at Animal—on Fairfax Ave. in the heart of Los Angeles—joined restaurant owners Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo (a.k.a. Jon & Vinny) and musician/comedian/beat-boxian Reggie Watts to explore what improvised sound, good vibes, and delicious food feels like when experienced with friends old and new. The DTS Space event, which is a specially-curated event series that showcases the power of sound in a variety of ways, shined a light on creators pushing boundaries and honored the artist in all of us.

Guests, including Kim Gordon, Cole Alexander, Danielle Haim, and Ariel Rechtshaid, were treated to chicken liver toast, beef tendon chip, hamachi tostadas, tres leches dulce de leche, and whole lot of amazing musical soundscapes created live by Watts. When a new course was put out, Reggie would take everyone on another musical journey—truly something else.

The evening’s soundtrack was connected by DTS Play-Fi, a premium whole-home wireless audio technology, available from the largest ecosystem of brands in the world, allowing users to enjoy their favorite content with astounding audio quality, from every device they’ve got.

Check out photos of the night from Ryan Hunter below, and thanks to DTS, Jon & Vinny, Reggie Watts, the staff at Animal, and everyone who came out to enjoy something pretty spectacular.
