Behind the music and the songs of Nick Cave, there is a brilliant and fascinating man. 20,000 Days On Earth gives us a semi-fictitious glimpse into the life and mind of the music legend. While watching the documentary would be enough to satisfy our Nick Cave needs, the artist will also be playing a special one-night solo piano performance on September 20 to follow the opening release of the film. The night at the Town Hall in Manhattan will include an off-site screening of the film, a Q & A with Cave and directors Jane Pollard and Iain Forsyth, and Cave’s performance.

For those who can’t make it to New York, Noisey will be streaming the Q & A and performance. You’ll also be able to tweet some questions in advance to @drafthousefilms with #20000Days, and they may get answered during the discussion! For the lucky ones that can make it, you can find pre-sale and general ticket information on Nick Cave’s website.

20,000 Days On Earth will open in New York on September 17 and will expand to other cities starting September 26.
