Corin Roddick and Megan James made a memorable mark in 2012 with their debut Shrines, a jewel of a 4AD pop record—shimmering as it is sharp, featuring James’ unmistakable, saccharine vocals and Roddick’s impressively encompassing and complementary production.
Last night, Purity Ring released the first listen of what might be their follow-up to Shrines, a single called “Push Pull.”
True to form, the track is a pulsating, totally gratifying taste of what to expect next from the band. No official word if we can expect a record to come with this track quite yet, but it’s enough of an anticipatory thrill for 2015.
