Fresh off the release of their sophomore record, Love Me / Love Me Not, the UK electro-pop duo HONNE are sharing a new video for the standout single “Day 1.” Unplugging the woozy synths of the album version, though, the video sees the duo of Andy Clutterbuck and James Hatcher filling a Brooklyn school with Clutterbuck’s soaring vocals and Hatcher’s impassioned piano. With the addition of a stripped-way-down strings section, the track is totally reworked for a sunbathed middle school gymnasium.

The band had this to say about the song/video:

“Day 1” is a special song to us and we wanted the opportunity to show it in a different light. The outcome is a fresh arrangement of this track, much more chilled, with an emphasis on the emotion of the song enhanced by the string arrangement. It was a really nice moment making this in that room with the sun beaming through the windows.
