Fresh off their successful summer of music fest touring, SoCal alt-rockers Wallows have finally announced their follow-up to the EP Spring: their debut LP Nothing Happens, recorded with Grammy award–winning indie producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Alvvays, Future Islands).
Band members Braeden Lemasters, Cole Preston, and Dylan Minnette have been playing music together for almost a decade, and the new record’s low-key lead single “Are You Bored Yet?” also features nineteen-year-old pop star Clairo.
The music vid sees the boys hanging out in some retro karaoke bar complete with disco ball and tinsel streamers, as the song’s lyrics dance across the bottom of the screen so you can read or sing along, too. There are cameos by a few familiar favorites such as Noah Centineo (the heartthrob from Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) and Nina Ljeti (the music vid director of Wallows’ “1980s Horror Film”).
The energetic trio will make their Coachella debut this April, and Nothing Happens comes out via Atlantic Records on March 22. Watch the video below.
