Yuna performs for Ernie Ball’s “Set Me Up” Session

The Malaysian pop-crooner Yuna has soared into global recognition in the last few years largely due to the quality of her soulful ballads and sparkling production, but also because, well, she’s pretty cool. Effectively the world’s most famous hijabster (that’s a hijab-wearing hipster for those of you keeping score), Yuna is first and foremost a songwriter, as evidenced by the excellent Nocturnal cut “Lights and Camera.”

For her Ernie Ball “Set Me Up” session, Yuna performed a stripped-down version of that track, in addition to shedding some light on her songwriting approach, as well as her utilitarian relationship with guitars.
