That’s exactly what’s on deck with Ultimate Rave, a new boxset that compiles Prince music and more from the turn of the century.
The three-disc bundle will include 1999 album Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic, 2001 remix version Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic and Prince In Concert: Rave Un2 the Year 2000, a full-length recording of Prince’s 1999 New Year’s Eve show that was originally a pay-per-view event. The epic performance featured appearances from Morris Day & the Time, Maceo Parker, Larry Graham, George Clinton, and Lenny Kravitz.
Ultimate Rave is set for release on April 26.
Both Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic and Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic will also be issued on vinyl. It will mark the first time that the latter has ever been available in the wax format.

The Prince estate has also revealed that the ongoing collaboration with the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves will continue with an exclusive “Minneapolis-themed 7″ purple vinyl single” given out to all attendees of the Timberwolves vs. Miami Heat game on April 5 at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. The Prince Estate and Sony/Legacy will make the soon-to-be-announced track available on digital services for the first time in March, along with custom Prince x Timberwolves playlists.
