He’s been a vampire, a Hufflepuff, and a bank robber.
Now, actor Robert Pattinson is taking on the role of lead vocalist.
UK alt-rock band Tindersticks frontman Stuart A. Staples has served as director Claire Denis’ musical composer for years. For their latest cinematic endeavor, the sci-fi space epic High Life, starring Pattinson, André Benjamin, and Juliette Binoche, Staples has tapped the actor to grab the mic and provide lead vocals on a new Tindersticks tune slated for the movie soundtrack.
On the song “Willow,” Pattinson provides an intimate croon over the ornate, symphonic production that’s reminiscent of classic Pink Floyd. The song comes with a music video featuring imagery from the movie. Watch it below.
This is hardly Pattinson’s first foray into music. He’s penned and released songs for years, including a couple of tunes—“Let Me Sign” and “Never Think”—that appeared on the Twilight soundtrack.
High Life is slated for release on April 5.
