Vampire Weekend’s “Sunflower” Video Was Directed by Jonah Hill and Celebrates New York Food

Jerry Seinfeld plus bagels? Now thats a classic combo.

Jonah Hill directed the latest video from Vampire Weekend, filmed in iconic NYC Upper West Side locales like Zabar’s and Barney Greengrass. Ezra Koenig and Steve Lacy (who is featured on the track) stroll around the city’s specialty food stores, the video made visually dynamic by split screens and the camera’s spinning upside-down like a washing machine. Surprise cameos include Fab 5 Freddy and Jerry Seinfeld, who orders some lox on a bagel—a Jewish deli delicacy. God knows we don’t have bagels like that in LA.
