LISTEN: Beck Shares Pharrell-Produced Song “Saw Lightning”

It’s the first track from Beck’s forthcoming full-length, Hyperspace.

Beck is back, and this time he’s bringing Pharrell Williams along for the ride.

“Saw Lightning” is the first track from Hyperspace, which will be the alt-rock icon’s fourteenth studio album when it drops “at an as yet undetermined point in the space time continuum,” according to the press release.

On the track, the pair take a page out of the presently popular “Yeehaw Agenda” to give a decided country twang to the tune, which pairs a frenetic dance rhythm with slide guitars and Pharrell’s distinctive background flourishes. Throbbing bass rumbles and Beck’s breathless vocals top the energetic production. Listen to it below.
