The new FKA twigs music video for “Cellophane”—her first new song in three years—is here, and it’s incredible. Directed by Andrew Thomas Huang, the story begins with twigs gyrating on a stripper pole (she even learned to pole-dance for the shoot). Soon, her character begins an Alice in Wonderland–type journey, falling down a trippy rabbit hole before ending up somewhere unexpected.
The sheer physicality of FKA twig’s performance here paired with overwhelming cinematography creates an effect begging for repeated viewings. Her second full-length album is expected out later this year.
