It’s starting to look like a Tycho summer.

The producer born Scott Hansen, who’s famous for moody and emotional instrumentals, has dropped a brand new song that features the vocals of Hannah Cottrell, a.k.a. Saint Sinner: “Pink and Blue.” The track is full of the melodic bass lines and dreamy synth melodies that mark the rest of Tycho’s music, with Saint Sinner’s breathy vocals giving it something of an M83 feel. Listen below.

“Pink and Blue” arrives with news of Tycho’s upcoming album Weather, which is set for release on July 12.

“When setting out to record Weather, I wanted to finally fulfill what had been a vision of mine since the beginning: to incorporate the most organic instrument of all, the human voice,” Hansen said in a press statement. “I met Hannah Cottrell, and the vocal component of the album immediately came into focus. Our initial sessions were incredibly productive and I strongly identified with the imagery in her lyrics. Her vision folded effortlessly into mine and her voice integrated seamlessly into the sonic landscape, opening new spaces for me as a songwriter and producer.”

Tycho will support the release with a tour kicking off at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on September 5. See his full itinerary of shows here.
