That sunny SoCal enclave is hosting the inaugural Pasadena Daydream Festival on August 31, with alt-rock legends The Cure headlining the all-day event. It’s taking place at Brookside, the golf course adjacent to the Rose Bowl stadium. Local music fans will know it as the location of the Arroyo Seco Weekend events.
According to the Pasadena Star-News, Robert Smith and company are also serving as curators for the show, handpicking the stellar lineup including Deftones, Pixies, Throwing Muses, Mogwai, The Joy Formidable, Chelsea Wolfe, The Twilight Sad, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Kælan Mikla.
Tickets for the fest go on sale at noon PT this Friday, May 17. Passes are $150 for general admission, $300 for VIP. Ticket prices include a donation toward music and arts education. Best of all, fans can pass on their love of The Cure to younger generations, with kids ten and younger allowed in free.
