We asked for it, and now we know when we can get it. Freddie Gibbs and Madlib will release their highly anticipated album Bandana on June 28.
The news arrives on the heels of the dynamic duo’s most recent tease: the Bandana album cover art, which Madlib shared on social media.
The album will arrive with a handful of high-profile features from Pusha-T, Killer Mike, Yasiin Bey, and Black Thought.

The release date announcement also comes with bonus treats, most notably a new track from the forthcoming full-length, “Crime Pays.” The track already has an official video, featuring the rapper putting a brand new spin on the yeehaw agenda in deeply rural Americana settings. There are lots of zebras. Watch it below.
There’s more: the powerful pair is set to hit the road in support of Bandana, kicking off the brief tour with a two-night stand at the legendary Roxy on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. They’ll also rock Philly’s Made in America Festival over the summer. See the full itinerary below the video.
