With Fourth of July weekend already blocked off for binging the show’s third season, Stranger Things and Netflix are also bringing a free pop-up experience to the Santa Monica Pier at the end of June.

On June 29 and 30 (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.), the pier will be hurtled back in time to the summer of 1985 for the Stranger Things Fun Fair. The experience is intended to reflect the show’s upcoming season, which finds the kids of Hawkins, IN, kicking it at the town’s new shopping mall.
The pier’s parking deck will host games and a slime-filled dunking booth (ew), but we’re most excited to check out the treats from Scoops Ahoy, the ice cream parlor that featured in new episodes. Fans can expect a Demogorgon-filled Curiosity House, a Hawkins Bike Shop where a replica of Max’s BMX bike is up for giveaway, and even a performance from the Hawkins High School Cheerleaders.
In order to really set the mood, the landmark Pacific Park Ferris Wheel is going to be retrofitted as the Hawkins Wheel, and the Playland Arcade will become Hawkins’ Palace Arcade. So if you’re into bonafide ’80s carnivals, head on over—hopefully no Demogorgon will return to ruin the fun.
