With his current feature, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, doing big business at the box office, director Quentin Tarantino has mined his filmography to populate a massive seventy-song playlist that runs for nearly four hours.

Opening with a quick personal introduction, the sometimes controversial director shared the eclectic, wide-ranging index on Spotify. It’s filled with Tarantino’s favorites from the likes of Buddy Guy, The Brothers Johnson, Soundgarden, The Delphonics, and Nancy Sinatra—all songs he’s previously used in his ten iconic films.

“In the past, when we’ve started preparation, he invites me over and I madly scribble as he’s talking a mile a minute and pausing to put the needle down on records,” Tarantino’s music supervisor, Mary Ramos, told Rolling Stone of his process for picking music for his movies, typically beginning with the director’s own sizable library. “Everything starts in his record room.”

Tune in to the playlist below and check out the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood soundtrack, also now streaming on Spotify.
