Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter King Princess is ready for cuffing season, and she’s got the song to prove it. For anyone burnt out on “Hot Girl Summer” and Tinder hookups, ready to chill with an actually significant other, “Ain’t Together” is your fall 2019 anthem.

The song coasts along on a laidback acoustic groove rife with Laurel Canyon Country Store vibes courtesy of Father John Misty, who handles drums on the track. The ’70s mellow gold melodies and lush production are more than infectious, and only serve to heighten expectations for King Princess’ forthcoming full-length debut, Cheap Queen, set for release on October 25 via Mark Ronson’s Zelig Records.
