There aren’t a whole lot of reasons to stand outside in the hot sun when the temperature’s flirting with triple digits, but Cardi B, Lizzo, and Kacey Musgraves are certainly a few. Though the first weekend of Austin City Limits was hot even by the Texas state capital’s standards, there was no shortage of viewers for memorable sets by the likes of headlining rockers The Cure and Tame Impala—or up-and-comers Shura and IDLES—and revelatory pop performances by the likes of King Princess, Kali Uchis, and K.Flay.
