Seventeen-year-old Chloe Moriondo is a force to be reckoned with. With over 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube, she’s built a devoted fan base of her ukulele covers and original songs. Today, we’re premiering her video for “Kindergarten,” directed by Max Moore, from Public Consumption Recording Co.

“Kindergarten” is a deceptively gentle ukulele-heavy queer anthem, and in the accompanying video Chloe wears winged eyeliner so sharp it could slice your eyes out, and daydreams in a childhood bedroom about a girl she has a “kindergarten crush” on. But things take a savage turn when that girl turns out to have a boyfriend, and Chloe vents her frustrations by making a voodoo doll from a stuffed bunny rabbit and stabbing her crush in the stomach.

“The ‘Kindergarten’ video was an idea I worked on with my friend Robin [Cavetown’s Robin Skinner], and Max helped it come to life!” Chloe shares of the visual. “It’s about when you like someone so much you just want them all to yourself.”

In between attending high school classes this year, Chloe has toured with Cavetown and mxmtoon. This February, she’ll join Cavetown along his UK and European tour. Check out the video for “Kindergarten” below.
