Nashville-based six-piece Cage the Elephant are the latest rockers to take the Austin City Limits stage, performing tracks off their fifth album Social Cues, plus some career highlights.

Frontman Matt Shultz appeared in his signature zany style, wearing elbow-length blue gloves, blue tights adorned with women’s lace underwear, headphones, and goggles. A wardrobe rack and prop trunk stayed onstage with him the entire night, and he changed between every one of their set’s seven songs. According ACL executive producer Terry Lickona, Shultz had the most wardrobe changes in a single show in ACL history.

The band closed with “Come a Little Closer,” and we’re bringing you a sneak peak of that track today. Shultz stripped it down in white leggings, bare feet, and an occasional wide-brimmed straw hat, and got the entire audience screaming along with him on the anthem. Watch it below.

The broadcast premieres Saturday, January 25 at 9 p.m. EST on PBS. The episode will be available streaming online the next day here.
