It’s a bit difficult to describe the type of music that Ava Luna make, but to be honest, almost every genre and musical adjective could fit. You could describe them as funky-humanoid-space-alien-punks and still wouldn’t be off the mark. Too vague? Ok, how about this: Steely Dan, James Brown, and X would all be good reference points, but only if taken together at the same time.

Basically, if you haven’t heard the Brooklyn-based group yet, the only thing to do is to take the trip yourself. You can hear the new track “Billz” for a sampling.

Infinite House is out April 14 via Western Vinyl.
