Most of the recent news surrounding SXSW hasn’t been great—namely, there’s been a petition going around to cancel this year’s fest due to the threat of coronavirus transmission, as well as frequent word of major companies like Amazon and Netflix pulling out for the same reason. But with just over a week until kick-off, it seems pretty certain that the show will go on.
Today the fest has announced another wave of exciting acts who’ll be in attendance this year, including established acts like Phantogram, Protomartyr, FLOODfest alum Dr. Octagon, The Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon, M. Ward, Au Revoir Simone’s Annie Hart, and hushed Beach Slang offshoot Quiet Slang. Additional newly added names included rappers Rema, Hook, and Londynn B, as well as bedroom-pop songwriter Skullcrusher and turntablist Kid Koala.
If you aren’t set up with a badge for the week-and-change duration of the festival, they’re still available on SX’s site. Look into it here.
