The Wallows boys Dylan, Braeden, and Cole have been pals since age eleven, and last year they released their debut album together, Nothing Happens. Now they’ve just wrapped another leg of their global headline tour for the record, and have returned to the studio to embark upon a whole new era.
Produced by John Hill (Foster the People, Portugal. The Man), “OK” is the first single since their debut, on which the trio ask, “Can we get up and try to feel okay again?” (Feels appropriate, given these troubling times.)
In a press release, the band described the inspiration behind “OK” as a hodgepodge of some of their favorite genres: pop, R&B, and alternative. Lyrically, the song details the identity and relationship struggles most twentysomethings face, and signifies the band’s growth both musically and personally following a move to LA.
