It was shaping up to be a momentous year for the British psych-pop ensemble Glass Animals, with a sold-out U.S. tour and hints of a yet-unannounced follow-up to 2016’s How to Be a Human Being lingering. Then the coronavirus thing happened, which has obviously hampered tour plans—though it seems like they’re making the best of the situation.

Today GA lead man Dave Bayley shared what’s promised to be the first of many bedroom covers, performing Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box” from the neon glow of his room (it’s truly a vibe). Though he mentions that most of the band’s instruments never made it back across the pond, he’s able to churn out a more-than-decent cover with looped Mellotron and bass.

While we continue to anticipate LP three, it seems Bayley will continue to gift us these covers, as he’s received “thousands” of requests since pitching his vocal fanbase earlier this week. Episode one is currently on YouTube—watch it below.
