While Mother’s Day 2020 is happening under the shadow of a global pandemic, Bikini Kill‘s Kathleen Hanna is here to help make things just a little bit brighter. Hanna has partnered with the video-shoutout platform Cameo to record personalized Mother’s Day messages.

“The whole reason I’m doing it is to give money to my favorite nonprofit, Peace Sisters,” she explained in a video posted to Twitter about the Cameo messages, which are going for $40. “Each time you pay me to make you a little video, a girl will go to school in Togo, West Africa. So I don’t know! I’m going to give this a try.”
Hanna and Bikini Kill were scheduled to hit the road for a reunion tour, which has now been pushed back until the fall of this year due to the pandemic. Watch her announce the Mother’s Day messages below.
