Gunna is currently sitting on a #1 record on the Billboard charts with Wunna, released last Friday, though like many of us, his mind is elsewhere. “It’s hard celebrating a #1 album when the world is Hurting,” he tweeted yesterday before taking to an LA rooftop to live stream his long-planned release show, which pivoted to being a memorial set for George Floyd, a Black man murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin a week ago today.

“This live performance has been scheduled weeks , I was goin to cancel it due to the circumstances of our country!,” he shared on Instagram. “I feel our pain I want to fight for our rights ! But I don’t want US To destroy our own communities! the police have been killing us for years and still are and we should come together around that cause! this live performance is for all the black lives lost to the hands of police murders.”

The seventy-minute set featuring a full band is now streaming in full on YouTube, where donations for the Official George Floyd Memorial Fund continue to roll in. Stream the performance below, and donate to the fund directly here.
