Death Cab for Cutie has released “Black Sun,” the lead single off of the band’s upcoming album Kintsugi (out March 31 via Atlantic Records).
“Black Sun” is our first hint at what Death Cab for Cutie will sound like in this new post-Chris Walla frontier. Ben Gibbard’s dulcet voice is the unbroken thread that runs through every Death Cab album, and it appears that Kintsugi will be no different, but this 2015 version of the band’s sound will feature some subtle synth flairs and refined electric guitars thrown in for good measure.
