Bill and Ted are back, and they’ve brought Win Butler with them. The Arcade Fire frontman pops up in the trailer for the highly anticipated Bill & Ted Face the Music, which debuted today. An Arcade Fire fan account Arcade Fire Tube spotted the quick cameo, sharing it on Twitter.
While fans tried to make sense of it all, Butler himself has confirmed the cameo in an Instagram Live post. “Proud and humbled to be a member of The Future Council, formed on Day 1 after the defeat of former president ‘Basement Boy’ in November of 2020,” Butler posted. “Also, and this is a spoiler…It turns out in the future that spending money on education, universal healthcare and universal daycare is better than prisons and policing.” See a screen grab of Butler’s post below.
