Terrell Hines is back with a brand new track, and he’s brought along Vince Staples to liven up the party. “Get Up” debuted today on Zane Lowe’s World First Premiere on his Beats 1 Radio show, where the Georgia rapper talked about working on the tune with his Los Angeles-based counterpart.
“It’s always good to get a vision out with other artists who want to live in a created space outside of the design we are currently in,” Terrell stated. “I couldn’t have gotten a better collab than Vince Staples. I’ve always enjoyed and respected his work. He brought a certain energy to the record that only he could bring.”
The melodic track rumbles on a percolating beat that arrives with a poignant lyric video loaded with politically-charged imagery. Watch it below.
Hines is in the final stages of completing his debut mixtape, Portal One: The Mixtape, scheduled for release via Capitol Records on August 7.
