Los Angeles Police Department / 2014

As far as lo-fi bedroom projects go, “success” is a pretty vague term. But no matter how he looks at it, Ryan Pollie has to be feeling pretty good following his quiet upswing for last year’s excellent self-titled debut as Los Angeles Police Department.

True to the self-recorded tradition, Pollie is still putting out music left and right—first releasing a one-off Christmas song last month, and today, sharing the A-side of his new single, “Insecurity.”

The subtle news behind the news this time around is that the single marks Pollie’s debut with Fat Possum, possibly hinting at a full-length to come. But for now, you’ll just have to enjoy the fuzzy goodness of the tune with no strings attached.

The “Insecurity” 7” is out February 24 on Fat Possum.
