Fresh off the release of their second record Lost Cities, KIDS are sharing a visual for standout track “Dry Bones” that matches the cinematic quality of the Fort Lauderdale band’s music. The song serves as a good primer for the group’s dense sonic landscapes, with layers of synths and choral vocals erupting in the song’s final minute.

A video set on a distant planet seems pretty apt for the sci-fi-tinged single, which the band describes as “a song about resistance, the internal conflict we face as a result, and the antidote we use to overcome it.” Of the video, they explain how this translated to a theme for the visual narrative: “When we were writing the treatment for the music video we wanted our protagonist to be plagued with this sentiment. Typically in life we aren’t given a warning prior to being whirled into a downward spiral of anxiety or depression. We just find ourselves there, and it can seem like we are playing the lead in our own sci-fi epic to overcome it.”
