Last Friday, twenty-three-year-old rapper Chika shared new song called “U Should,” her latest release following the Industry Games EP released earlier this year, the artist’s major label debut for Warner Music. The warm, summer love song is laced with Chika’s chilled out R&B vocals and acoustic guitar. “Since we didn’t get a real summer, I’m gifting you the vibe,” Chika shared on Twitter of the new release.
The rapper is set to turn up her profile even higher later this month when her song appears in the Netflix movie Project Power. The sci-fi thriller stars Jamie Foxx, and tells the story of a new drug that unlocks superpowers for every person who takes it. Watch the trailer for Project Power, and preview “U Should,” below.
