The Baltimore group’s sixth album will drop October 9 via 4AD.

Lots of news from the Future Islands camp this morning, most exciting of which is word of a new record called As Long As You Are, which is set to drop October 9 via 4AD, with whom they released their last two albums. Additionally, the Baltimore group have shared a new single, “Thrill,” and an accompanying music video—a single-shot clip documenting frontman Samuel T. Herring soulfully belting out the lyrics (while, unfortunately, remaining completely still).

On top of all this, the band also announced a live stream set for release day, in which they’ll presumably play songs from the record live from Baltimore. All of this comes a month after we got “For Sure,” the band’s first new single in two years, which we now know will reappear on the forthcoming LP.
