Indie-pop cult Okey Dokey are back with a new groovy single, “It’s Just You.” It comes from their recently announced forthcoming album Once Upon One Time, which has behind-the-boards work from Darkside’s Dave Harrington, members of The Shins, Grizzly Bear, Poolside, and more. For this track, My Morning Jacket’s Carl Broemel helped.

“This song is about seeing the thing you love slip away, trying to save it, knowing you shouldn’t,” says vocalist Aaron Martin. “Knowing a friend exists in there still. It is also about the difficulty at which we learn these things. I didn’t want to be too specific about which point of view this could be coming from, just that it is a struggle to see and then state the obvious.”

“It’s Just You” follows the twinkly wonderland of the lead single, “The Right Fit.” Once Upon One Time arrives October 23 via Park the Van.
