While the wait will be a little longer for The Winds of Winter than hoped, the good news is Game of Thrones season five is upon us. Last night, episodes nine and ten from (the fantastic) season four were given the IMAX Experience at select theaters nationwide, accompanied by an exclusive premiere of the trailer for season five.
HBO‘s finally put the trailer online for the rest of us, and it gives a look into a lot of highly anticipated events and characters that fans knew were coming: The Sand Snakes and Sunspear, the arrival of Tyrion and Varys in the Free City of Pentos, the continuing ascension of Daenerys, the fate of the Stark children scattered across Westeros (and now Essos), and a new ruler in King’s Landing as the kingdom copes with the death of not one, but two! Lannisters last season.
