Coming off the release of his debut EP, Mississippi songwriter Austin Ward is sharing a video for the record’s tender closer, “Honeysuckle,” which brings the song to life. The warm acoustic strums and Ward’s low voice are complemented by the visual’s setting under the shade of a tree on a sunny day.

“This is one of my oldest and most personal songs,” Ward tells us, “written on the front porch of my Mississippi home. It’s a reflection on childhood and loss of innocence. ‘It was a night in June, under the Mississippi moon, innocence danced on a porch with a view, and laid right beside me.’”

Along with the clip, Ward is sharing that he’ll be taking to YouTube on November 10 to play some of the tracks from the newly released Side A—catch him when his stream begins at 5 p.m. PST.
