Hearty Har, the psych-rock project of brothers Tyler and Shane Fogerty, grew up with music, spending ample time with their legendary father out on the road. Though they’ve said they’ve never felt pressure to pursue music, and picked up skateboarding, art, and photography, instead, music gradually became a major part of their lives. Now they’re preparing for the release of their debut album RADIO ASTRO, and premiering the single “Boogie Man” today.

“It’s one of the songs whose idea just came out of nowhere,” Tyler Fogerty shares. “I was driving around and the thought crossed my mind of portraying a fantastical character you might see in a hazy nightclub while you are completely overtaken or haunted by the music played. The Boogie Man is the shaman who evokes the spirits of night into getting down. The next time you find yourself overcome by the sound you’d better take a look around. Here comes the Boogie Man!”

RADIO ASTRO is out February 19 via BMG. Listen to “Boogie Man” below.
