Back in 2009, The Very Best boogied into the hearts of many with their excellent collaboration with Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig on the track, “Warm Heart of Africa.” Since then, the group—made up by producer Johan Hugo and singer Esau Mwamwaya—have continued to develop their sound, and have worked with a wide variety of musicians all over the world.

For their latest album, Makes A King, The Very Best found themselves living and recording in M’dala Chikowa, a small village in Malawi. Local musicians and choirs contributed to album, as well as some not-so-local players such as Vampire Weekend’s bassist, Chris Baio, who played on the first single, “Hear Me,” in addition to the second single released today.

The new track, “Let Go,” is a soaring reggae-pop earworm that’s pretty different from anything the group has put out thus far.

Listen to that new track, and check out the album art and tracklist below.
