While it’s a bummer we won’t be able to watch alt-country songwriter Lydia Loveless perform tracks from her recently released Daughter in a proper venue any time in the near future, it turns out these tracks were actually written to be performed on a tiny boat in the middle of a lake in Morrisville, North Carolina. With the help of a small crew, Loveless hit the water for our latest episode of “Neighborhoods,” along with a cameraperson donning the giant papier-mâché head that starred in the “Dead Writer” music video. “I’m Lydia Loveless and I’m performing my song ‘Dead Writer’ on a boat,” she chuckles. “It’s the most Americana thing ever.”
