Channel Tres was at that point so many emerging artists dream about: rocking the underground well enough to earn his first invitation to perform at Coachella. Being that he was slated to perform at the famous desert music festival in 2020, Tres has had eight months to contemplate all of the ways that his life and career have been irrevocably changed.
That range of energy and emotion is splattered all over I Can’t Go Outside, Tres’ new mixtape that he considers a journal of sorts. Chronicling the fallout from, well, everything that’s happened since the pandemic shut everything down, the mix is highlighted by “Fuego,” a collaboration with fellow Los Angeleno, Tyler, the Creator.
