Coming out of this year’s film festival circuit, Starred Up has started picking up more than a bit of buzz along the way. The intense prison drama follows the story of a nineteen-year-old inmate (played by breakout actor, Jack O’Connell) who has been transferred to the same facility as his estranged father (Ben Mendelsohn). With such gritty material and a great cast to support it, this David Mackenzie-directed film is one to watch for the year.
Starred Up opens in the United States on August 29.
