Well, it’s the eighth straight year the name Sky Ferreira has appeared at the top of music sites’ lists of “Most Anticipated Albums,” as the LA-based songwriter has yet to follow up her 2013 debut. We’ve gotten the occasional single and guest spot from Ferreira—most recently and notably on albums from Beck and Charli XCX—but there’s still no word on a second LP.

As we continue to wait, we’ll gladly receive any unearthed demos she comes across—such as a cover of Bowie’s 1970 single “All the Madmen” she shared over the weekend in celebration of what would have been David’s 74th birthday. The quality’s a little, well, demo-y, but otherwise it stays pretty true to the original.

Hear it below via her Instagram (if you scroll a bit through the replies you’ll find that Jim Jarmusch approves.) The cover also arrives alongside last Friday’s news of a Bowie covers comp featuring new takes on his music from Khruangbin, Helado Negro, John Carroll Kirby, and more—more info on that here.
