Over the past year we’ve been reminded just how important indie venues are to the music industry—due to the unfortunate fact that their existence has been jeopardized by the ongoing pandemic. For fans of live music in Salt Lake City, Kilby Court is a staple of SLC’s nightlife, and the launch pad for numerous artists, including Dallon Weekes, whose music career took off while he was a member of Panic! at the Disco and has since been cemented as the leader of the electro-pop duo iDKHOW.

We recently joined Weekes in SLC to revisit the venue (where a sticker for his first band remains visible) before swinging by Gilgal Sculpture Garden, calling up bandmate Ryan Seaman, and winding up at the studio to play through some tracks and record an IG Live session.
