dodie is among a new breed of young musicians who’ve already conquered the internet by the time they’ve begun work on their debut album. The 25-year-old Londoner garnered a massive YouTube following by uploading uke and piano covers before putting out a handful of EPs that flexed her original songwriting muscles, honing in on subjects specific to what it means to be human. Following suit, her soon-to-be released debut full-length, Build a Problem, continues to flesh out these ideas.

“Cool Girl” is among that record’s tracklist, and it’s the song dodie chose to perform for her “Neighborhoods” set in London’s Richmond Park. Performing to a few peripheral pedestrians and a pretty sizable audience of four-legged spectators, the vocalist offers up a soft, intimate acoustic rendition of the album track. Watch her performance below.
