Whether it’s people, places, or a type of normal, the pandemic has made saying goodbye extremely difficult or non-existent. Last year, when gathering in large groups for concerts or ceremonies was put indefinitely on hold, the famous Hollywood music store Amoeba Music cancelled their planned concert as farewell to their location on the corner of Sunset and Cahuenga, its home of nearly two decades, and began moving to the newly procured spot.
Now there’s word that the 23,000-square-foot spot will open at 6200 Hollywood Boulevard at the beginning of April. “We are SO ready to safely re-open our doors to our amazingly supportive and loyal customers who have kept in touch with us during this unfathomable time,” Amoeba co-owner Jim Henderson said in a statement.
The new temporary hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. Face coverings are required, and there will be a limited amount of customers allowed in the store at one time.
