Rapper and visual artist Tierra Whack is one of the most exciting artists to have made a breakthrough over the past few years. Her debut album Whack World was released in 2018, but since then she’s been dropping innovative, wonderfully bizarre singles with equally unique videos. Her latest track “Link” is in collaboration with LEGOs, and, yes, the video does include plenty of colorful bricks.

The video for “Link” features a handful of monochromatic characters that bring Whack their LEGOs in order to build a rocket that’s designed with an iguana and, possibly, a kangaroo? Whack then travels to outer space, but soon realizes she misses the friends that helped her become out of this world.

In a behind-the-scenes video, we get a look at how a few imaginative kids help Whack and LEGO create the video. Whack explained how she loves working with kids, that you never know what you’re going to end up with. “I want to be them. They feed me. Their energy is fun, exhilarating. It’s everything,” she said. It’s the definition of heartwarming.
