It’s felt like an unusually long wait for Billie Eilish to follow up to her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, though the record only dropped a little over two years ago—yet our anxiety was recently allayed when the singer revealed the street date for Happier Than Ever for mid-summer. After releasing the album’s first single (not including the previously shared 2020 tracks “My Future” and “Therefore I Am,” which will also appear on the project) “Your Power,” Eilish is dropping another taste of the project with a self-directed video for the new tune “Lost Cause.”

With a firm shift from alt-folk to contemporary R&B, the new single soundtracks a visual which sees enjoying herself with a handful of friends dressed for a high school sleepover and engaging in very sleepover-y activities like Twister, snacking, and, seemingly, doing karaoke to their favorite new Billie track.
