Today sees the release of the latest slate of tracks from Sub Pop’s Singles Club, a series which not only grants fans access to new tunes but also gives them the opportunity to purchase limited-edition, subscription-only 7-inch vinyl singles. Today’s drop includes two new songs from Hand Habits called “motherless” and “no reply.”

The electronic-based compositions are a riveting turn away from Meg Duffy’s well-known guitar-driven works. Still, both “motherless” and  “no reply” are centered by Duffy’s gripping lyrics. “When memory deceives you / Leaves you no reply / Why, oh, why,” they sing on the latter’s chorus.

They added in a tweet, “two new songs. for anyone who has experienced losing a parent or has been affected by addiction, i hope these songs offer you a feeling of brief connection.” They are also selling cool hats for the Sub Pop release.

The other artists included in today’s Singles Club releases are the punk-metal-industrial duo Duma from Nairobi, Kenya with the tracks “Cannis” and “Mbukinya,” and Toronto’s post-punk band LIDS who shared “Furniture” and “Half Twin.”
