Deem Spencer shared the tender track “Wife Wife” featuring Okay Kaya a couple weeks ago, and today we get another track from the songwriter called “New Light.” The latest single is another romantic ode with pulsing production by Coach Wave; there’s even a bit of faint harmonica in it. “Do you need more light? I can move the moon over here for us,” Spencer sings in the opening line with a nod to the dreamy proposal George Bailey makes in It’s a Wonderful Life.
Spencer posted on Instagram, “I like to sing cause me singing is funny as hell to me. I was just playing around with ‘new light’ but I love it. I couldn’t stop listening to it when I first made it. I ran it up like 3000 times. I think it’s cute.”
